  • Centre for Philosophy in Africa Conference: Conferences are an integral part of the Centre’s academic activity and occupy a prominent place in exploration of the African condition. They provide new impetus to research, open up new directions of study and expand the horizons of state-society relations and generate forecasts for the future. The CfPA annual conference covers a wide range of urgent African problems. This explains why the event is attended by a broad spectrum of scholars from Africa, Europe, America and across the globe.
  • Seminars and collaborative workshops: The Centre engages in collaborative projects and runs workshops with leading universities around the world. These collaborations extend to hosting visiting fellows from diverse institutions. The goal of these seminars is to disseminate research findings and publicize topical issues. The Centre runs a Speaker Series where scholars from different parts of the world present a lecture on any of the Centre’s thematic areas of research.
  • Publications: The Center for Philosophy in Africa is committed to research of the highest quality. The overall principle that guides research at the Center is to produce knowledge that is capable of shifting theoretical frameworks, public policy and everyday practices. Every year, the Center’s research fellows and associates produce rigorous publications, including monographs, edited works, articles and conference proceedings that offer seminal findings.
