Mmaduabuchi Ugwu

Mmaduabuchi Ugwu is a research assistant at the Centre for Philosophy in Africa, Nelson Mandela University. He is currently a doctoral candidate at the Nelson Mandela University, where he researches the intractable non-ideal conditions that impede the realization of democratic principles in Africa, with special focus on the impact of non-state actors. His MSc and BSc degrees were earned at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, where he studied Conflict, Peace, and Strategic Studies in the Department of Political Science. His research interests span security studies, African political philosophy, and democracy studies.
